This is a male rose-breasted grosbeak. He and a of his
few friends spent a week or two with us this April. They were new to the feeder so we spent quite a bit of time watching.
This guy we weren't quite as pleased to see.
He wasn't able to get to the food and we are hoping he doesn't try again.
The grosbeak is beautiful. I've never even heard of this bird.
