We left San Fran this morning and headed south. South of Monterey we visited Jade Cove and Sand Dollar beach. We found neither jade nor sand dollars. The drive was another twisty, turny one, up and down the mountain. The ocean came in and out of view as the fog rolled in and out.
Can you find the lizard?
Sand Dollar beach was warm and not too windy. CJ played in a fresh water spring that came out of the mountain.

We had stopped at a Wal-Mart earlier in the day for a bathroom break and picked up a box of Oreos. They ended up being lunch since there were no stores or gas stations...nothing but ocean. About 250 miles into the drive CJ got a little silly!!! By the time we stopped for dinner we were all pretty silly. It was a long day in the car, thank goodness there was lots of scenery!
Very strange to see an ocean that is just for viewing-just looked a US map & obviously latitude has nothing to do with it being unusable-very strange.
ReplyDeleteI also pictured quaint places to eat scattered here and there.
The lizard scared me-was looking all around and all of a sudden there it was-lurking.
